Derek Gough MRICS
After creating DGA at his kitchen table nearly 30 years ago, Derek has amassed many years of experience in the quantity surveying and construction industry sectors.
Derek’s experience includes sectors such as Retail, Commercial, Civil Engineering and Residential.
When he isn’t on the golf course, Derek remains a vital member of the team, working closely with our apprentice and assistant Quantity Surveyors especially.

Philippa Gough
Co-Owner/Director
For nearly all her working life, Philippa has worked in business development and strategy, helping businesses to grow.
Starting out as a management accountant, Philippa’s roles gradually expanded into her current role as a Director.
Philippa has a vast amount of passion and knowledge on business development and sustainable building.
She strongly believes that the key to a successful business is value, relevance, speed and responsiveness.
Above all, she believes family is at the heart of every business, and she sees every member of DGA as a member of her extended family. -
Ed Gough MRICS
Managing Director
Ed’s large amount of experience working in the high-end residential sector gives him a head-start amongst others. That, combined with his love of forming relationships with his clients ensures that he can provide you the ultimate DGA experience.
Ed is based in the London office, providing him with priceless knowledge of the construction world, right in the capital.

Associate Director
Mike has lots of experience as both a PQS and Contractor’s QS – with a proven record for success through adding value to projects.
Michael is now RICS accredited, and is always looking to bring the principals and values of the RICS to his clients, projects and colleagues alike. -
Caitlin Gilfoyle
Practice Manager
Caitlin’s drive for business and passion for marketing ensures DGA’s processes and outreach are the best that they can be.
Caitlin joined us as an Administrative Apprentice when she left Sixth Form in 2019 with no background experience in business or construction.
She credits her growth in knowledge and experience to DGA, and that is what has enabled her to become our Practice Manager today.

Will focuses on a bit of everything, with experience in largescale apartment blocks, hospitals, schools, warehouses, hangars and airport terminals.
Will has managed to broaden his skillset by dealing with luxury bespoke projects and providing a PQS service to these projects. -

Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Will joined us with a small background in construction, with some pre-existing knowledge of sites and how they work. Will did 2 weeks of work experience with us, and we were so impressed with his ability to learn quickly and do what’s best for his clients that we offered him a job on the spot!
Will is currently completing a degree apprenticeship, and months on, he is absolutely flying and is already building his own client base. -
Andy Freeman MRICS
Senior Quantity Surveyor
Focuses on estimating, procurement and PQS services.
A member of the DGA team since 2018, Andy has continued to build his experience in providing Professional Quantity Surveying services, Main Contractor estimates and Bills of Quantities.
Andy aims to build strong personal relationships with all clients, helping to ensure their requirements are met or exceeded.

With previous work experience in international management within the pharmaceutical industry, Nick has found a passion for Quantity Surveying.
He works specifically in sustainable building and construction cost. -
Steph Doran

We’ve known Steph for a while, as her family’s business has been a client of ours for many years!
We were delighted that Steph wanted to train to become a QS with us, and is currently completing a degree apprenticeship to gain her qualification.
Steph is a great talker, striking up amazing relationships with clients both pre-existing and brand new. Steph has been working closely with Derek, and training with him has really assisted in her skills to complete cost plans, tenders and more.
