Embodied Carbon
Every material on your spec list has a carbon footprint. Structural steel, insulation, concrete, glazing, all of it emits CO2 in manufacture, transport, and construction.
DGA Life calculates your building’s embodied carbon from the bottom up, using the same quantities data we produce for your cost plan. We tell you which materials are driving your carbon figure, how your design compares to the RIBA 2030 Challenge targets, and crucially where the biggest opportunities for improvement are.
The result is a DGA Life Carbon Report: a clear, professional document you can share with your architect, your planning authority, or your client.
Life Cycle Costing
A ground source heat pump costs more to install than a gas boiler. But what does it cost over 25 years, once you factor in energy bills, maintenance, and replacement? How long before the premium pays back?
DGA Life answers these questions with a proper life cycle cost model: capital costs, maintenance schedules, replacement cycles, operational energy, and a net present value summary all in one document, from the QS already managing your project costs.

Design Decision Support
