Thomas Bate has been a team member at Derek Gough Associates for just over a year. He is a trainee Quantity Surveyor, specialising in the provision of commercial support to contractors and specialist private clients.

Thomas’ educational background includes gaining an Advanced Vocational Certificate of Education in Construction at Stockport College from 2005 to 2006. Currently he is in his second year of study at Stockport College for the Higher National Certificate in Construction.

To further his career related study he plans to move on to part time attendance at Salford University for his B.Sc. in Quantity Surveying.

Commencing his career profile with a local contractor, Thomas has benefited from several years of valuable on site experience. On joining Derek Gough Associates in 2006 his professional responsibilities expanded to encompass the provision of estimating services to general building and specialist contractors, ranging from labour only brickwork to plastering.

22 years of age, Thomas lists his out of work interests as rugby, football, music, film and travel.
